The Podcast Show is the biggest international festival for the business of podcasting, and this years’ show was a feast for the ears and the eyes. Attended by over 250 speakers and major names across the industry, the Podcast Show is the place to be for emerging broadcasters, seasoned audio experts and all those interested in the creator economy.

2023 saw the first ever Podcast Trailblazer Award, hosted pre-Show as part of the highly anticipated Preview Night. Not only did attendees get a first glimpse of the show floor, they had the opportunity to network and celebrate all things podcasting. The award presented one well-deserved winner with a custom acrylic trophy, designed and manufactured in-house at Gaudio. The award recognises a global impact made on the podcast industry.

The evening was hosted by Nihal Arthanayake, UK radio veteran and a much-loved staple on BBC radio for over 20 years. This prestigious award was presented by industry great Fearne Cotton – broadcaster, author, and founder and host of Happy Place. Her 2017 book ‘Happy’ launched a chart-topping podcast with over 100 million downloads, a book club and festival.

Winner of the International Podcast Trailblazer Award is Ashley Flowers, CEO of Audiochuck LLC, a podcast network specializing in the intrigue of true crime. She hosts the Crime Junkie Podcast and launched nonprofit Season of Justice to provide grants for DNA testing on cold cases. More recently, Flowers published her NYT best-selling debut novel All Good People Here, with details inspired by her research into true crime.

The Podcast Show social media, website and in-person signage showcases striking colours and lively graphics, reminiscent of swirling audio waveforms. Embracing the feeling of movement with dynamic curves and swirls, everything about the Podcast Show brand is visually exciting for a show experience that draws the eyes and entertains the ears.
