The International Booker Prize

The world renown International Booker Prize is an annual award that celebrates the crucial work of translators. The prize is presented to a single, exceptional work of global fiction, translated into English and published in the UK and Ireland.

The International Booker Prize has taken many forms. In 2012, Gaudio created the custom award using cast acrylic. The contemporary, freestanding form strikes a remarkable silhouette, with the International Booker Prize logo featured front and centre.

In 2016, both the Booker Prize and the International Booker Prize became an annual award for a single book, and the International Prize trophy was redesigned to match its counterpart.

Now, the Booker Prize and the International Booker Prize make a cohesive set, each with bold print on a freestanding acrylic tablet. The versatility of acrylic allows for flexibility in the design, while maintaining the book-like appearance. The full-colour print is changed year-on-year to make the logo, as the brand and event develop over time.
