Rugby Legends Honoured by Nordoff Robbins with Musical Award

Nordoff Robbins celebrated their renowned Legends of Rugby Dinner earlier this year, presenting a unique custom award in aid of transformative music therapy across the UK.

Now in its 27th year, the Legends of Rugby Dinner honours the careers of rugby icons, bringing together the worlds of music and rugby for a night of entertainment and fundraising. The 2022 awards were presented to rugby stars Rochelle “Rocky” Clark MBE and Jason Robinson OBE, with over 50 Rugby internationals there to celebrate alongside them.

As the UK’s largest music therapy charity, Nordoff Robbins has changed the lives of thousands of people through specialised and supportive music therapy sessions. Founded by pianist Paul Nordoff and special education teacher Clive Robbins, 50 years of pioneering projects and life-changing research means Nordoff Robbins music therapists have been available to provide services to as many as people as possible.

This prestigious event set the tone for the brief, and the result is a bespoke trophy that’s in perfect harmony, combining musicality and legacy for this momentous occasion.

A Musical Award in Perfect Harmony

The classic treble clef shape in a rich, long-lasting gold finish is inspired by the remarkable legacies of the Rugby legends being honoured, and the Nordoff Robbins charity. The award is anodised, giving a matt surface look, and long-lasting, hard-wearing colour.

Paired with a rounded, black base, these traditional elements take on a contemporary note. With plenty of space for engraving, the base of the award features the honourees name, the Nordoff Robbins logo, and the name of the event.
