Rocking Out at the Heavy Music Awards

The Heavy Music Awards had a rocking return this year, with a packed event at the historic O2 Forum in London. The star-studded show saw music acts and entertainers nominated by their peers in the industry across a range of prestigious categories, including Best UK Breakthrough Artist, Best Album, and Best International Artist. Nominations were submitted by almost 700 industry insiders, and finalists were chosen by public vote, making the Heavy Music Awards the biggest in the business.

The brief called for a bespoke trophy design that was sophisticated and striking.

The Heavy Music Awards were designed in two colours, with a rich black finish for the body of each piece, and a bold pop of red for the prestigious ‘H Award’. In solid aluminium, the colour on these awards is achieved through a sub-surface process, meaning no long-term colour loss, or fading. The brushed surface finish is preserved for that extra metal look and feel.

The contrasting white and red text features sponsor logos, as well as individual winners’ details on every trophy. A towering column shape is suitably bold, with plenty of space for that statement ‘H’ graphic.

Perfectly on-brand and totally rocking, there’s nothing else quite like the Heavy Music Awards. The event saw a packed venue, with well-deserved winners including Kennyhoopla, who took home Best International Breakthrough Artist. Enter Shikari were presented with Best Live Artist, an award they first won in 2017. Heavy Metal Truants, in the run up to accepting the ‘H’ Award, spearheaded a huge fundraising effort, with a donation of over £1m to charity.
