The Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards took place at a sell-out event on the 18th May at St. George’s Hall, Liverpool. The awards recognise the contribution the brightest and best attractions have made to tourism in the city and surrounding area. Eighteen awards were handed out in total, which were judged by notable figures in the city’s business community. In addition to the categories judged by the panel, there was a ‘People’s Choice’ award, which was voted for by the general public for outstanding service throughout the year.
Gaudio has recently produced the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards for the second year in a row. Although a simple design, these awards were striking and really highlighted how the effective use of design and print can totally transform the look of the award. The brief was to design an acrylic tablet, incorporating imagery of the Liverpool skyline reverse printed on the back of the tablet and backed with white acrylic. Space for up to three sponsors was allocated to be printed on the front, along with the event logo and winners’ details.
Reverse printing on acrylic tablets can give a really nice, reflective effect, creating awards that look striking, substantial and classy, while still being very cost-effective. This makes them ideal for companies where budget is an issue, but still enables them to offer bespoke, custom-made awards for their events.
