Today we’re taking a closer look at the Streets Ahead awards. These custom acrylic trophies are a perfect example of how alphanumeric trophies can make a sensational impression, utilising text as the base of an impactful design.

Designed and manufactured in-house, this bespoke award was created for the first ever Streets Ahead awards by Highway Traffic Management.

The internal recognition awards are presented to employees within the business that ‘recognise our vision and our values out in the field, as well as those who have reached some impressive milestones for years working within the business’.

Blue acrylic provides the pop of colour in these trophies, laser-cut with precision to create the ‘Streets Ahead’ logo, as well as the date of the awards. It’s combined with a slice of matching acrylic on the base of the award for a fun, streamlined design. On top of the award, individual characters sit against black acrylic, profiled to match the outline of the letters.

Tall, sturdy trophies like the Streets Ahead award are ideal for presentation at ceremonies. Layering acrylic like this gives a satisfyingly solid feel to the top of the award. With custom awards displaying text like this, it provides stability when the awards are handled. The award sits on a solid aluminium base, with a professional brushed finish. The surface has a slightly textured, matte silver colour, with plenty of space for custom print. The base is personalised with the category title and winners’ name.
