Gaudio Awards have once again produced the “world’s richest sports book prize” for William Hill. The William Hill Sports Book of the Year is dedicated to rewarding excellence in sports writing. This year’s winner, Beware Of The Dog, is an autobiography by Telegraph columist Brian Moore.
Graham Sharpe, the co-founder of the William Hill prize said of Moore’s book, “As a trained solicitor and a lover of opera, fine wine and Shakespeare, Brian Moore is no ordinary sportsman,” Sharpe said. “So it follows that this is no ordinary book. It’s a fascinating exploration of what lies beneath the tough exterior of one of England’s greatest rugby players.”
