A First Class Award for The Great Model Railway Challenge

The Great Model Railway Challenge went full steam ahead with an award from Gaudio.

On Channel 5 earlier this year, the Great Model Railway Challenge saw teams compete, not in spare rooms and garden sheds, but at iconic railway sites across the country.

Design That’s Off The Rails

Inspired by a train wheel, the top of this award is predominately acrylic. While it doesn’t explicitly feature any branding, the bold design and use of colour gives the award a timeless feel; one that has the potential to become synonymous with the show in years to come.

Having in-house facilities means we can control quality every step of the way. When it comes to finishing techniques, this award utilises both a brushed and polished finish, alongside the acrylic detail. Acrylic is one of our most versatile materials, and the combination of acrylic with high-quality aluminium gives the award some weight, and a shiny, professional finish.

The base itself has a polished finish, complete with acrylic layers for a pop of corresponding colour. Finally, an engraving plate showcases the show’s name and the winning title.
