The Booker Prize
Established in 1969, the Booker Prize is synonymous with excellent works of fiction. A single winner is recognised annually, and presented with a custom acrylic trophy.
In 2012, the prize presented winners with a cast acrylic award, pictured with Hilary Mantel in 2012, Eleanor Catton in 2013, and Richard Flanagan in 2014. The 3D cast acrylic trophy was designed as a tactile, freestanding recreation of the Booker Prize logo, displaying the title in an eye-catching white print to contrast against a solid black canvas.
As we know it now, the Booker Prize award takes shape as a clear acrylic tablet. The print is colour-matched to the years’ branding, displaying the Booker Prize logo front and centre. After the award is presented to winners, it returns to us for a print along the narrow edge, matching the spine of the winning book.
