What do trophy designers do?
We have a team of in-house designers at Gaudio Awards dedicated to creating trophy designs for our clients – completely free of charge!
Our team is a mixture of Product Designers and Graphic Designers, each with their own complimentary skills, and all highly trained in the unique world of custom trophy design.
Our design team will work closely with you and your account manager to develop your brief into a range of concept designs to suit your brand, budget and lead time.
What does a trophy design look like?
Our designers will take your brief and begin to sketch out some concept ideas to suit. As awards and trophies experts, our designers have vast knowledge of materials, sustainability, costs, assembly techniques and manufacture. They can recommend the best materials and finishes to suit your brief and budget.
These ideas will then be fully modelled in 3D CAD and checked for any potential manufacturing issues before a photorealistic render is produced to show you exactly how your bespoke trophies could look.
Our quoting team will take the 3d model and price up the components to give you an accurate cost for producing the awards. The visual and price are then assembled together on one easy-to-read quote along with a full product description, measurements and details of lead time.
Once you receive your designs and quotes we can then discuss any potential changes you would like to make, combining of ideas, or even completely new designs.
How do I order a bespoke trophy?
You have now seen a custom trophy design that you are thrilled with, and that perfectly suits your requirements. Now it’s time to place an order!
Only at this point do you have to commit to buying, all of the designs and quotes are created with no obligation to buy. You will be sent an order confirmation form that details which design you are ordering, how many, when it will be ready and where it will be delivered.
Our designers then create all the technical files and drawings required to manufacture your trophy design to the correct specification. They work closely with our Manufacturing Team to ensure everything runs smoothly and on time: one of the many benefits of having in-house design and manufacture!
Will I receive proofs for my trophies?
The final task for our design team is to create proofs for you to approve.
You will be sent a pdf document showing exactly how each trophy will be laid out, with all printed or engraved logos, winners, sponsors and branded elements included.
This is your chance to check the arrangement of the text, the spelling and the logos before we begin personalisation.
Once approved, the designers will then pass on the proofs to the Manufacturing Team for printing and engraving.
In-house Trophy Design and Manufacture
As you can see, the Trophy Design Team are involved in the project from beginning to end and this is why we are such big believers in having in-house design and manufacture rather than outsourcing where possible.
Our designers are fully trained and certified in 3D cad software, as well as being Certified Adobe Professionals. We believe in investing in our design capabilities to ensure we remain one of the UK’s leading trophy designers and manufacturers.
