Whipping up the Golden Whisk Awards

We’ve been cooking up some exceptional bespoke awards at Gaudio this week, and our latest creation is the Golden Whisk Award for Mellor’s Catering.

This is the 3rd annual Golden Whisk Awards for Mellors‘ staff, and 2019’s theme was bang on trend with ‘Meat Free Mondays’. The competition saw colleagues battle it out to ‘produce the most innovative, cost effective and easy to sell meat-free dish’.

The Mellor’s Golden Whisk Award is a striking example of a bespoke acrylic trophy.

Cooking up the perfect design

If you’ve looked around our website, checked out the gallery or read any of our other news posts, you’ll know that acrylic is one of our most versatile and popular choices of material. Acrylic can be cut, printed, milled and engraved, meaning it provides a huge array of design potential.

Our in-house design team are experts when it comes to the possibilities with acrylic. With over ten years’ experience working with brands of all shapes and sizes, they’re no strangers to utilising acrylic to embrace and brief, brand or budget for a perfect custom award.

Acrylic layering gives additional detail a level of depth to complement a profiled shape. For the Golden Whisk trophy, gold mirrored acrylic provides a classic shine for the signature whisk-shaped design. The Mellor’s logo is UV printed onto the top of the award; vector logos can be printed with a Pantone match.

Many of our topped awards have a sturdy metal base that’s ideal for holding and displaying the award. We source high-quality aluminium that’s cut and polished in-house, for a perfect finish every time. This brushed base has a smooth surface with a soft grain and a professional, matt finish.

We understand the significance of every award to every recipient which is why, for the most important finishing touch, the winners’ details, we offer several flexible options.

For awards where the winner is decided on the night, we provide free self-adhesive engraving plates. Engraving plates offer quick and easy application with an elegant finish.
