Celebrating New Technology
Earlier this year, 450 agriculture leaders gathered for the 2023 Regenerative Agriculture and Food Systems Summit in Europe. The event was hosted in Amsterdam at the iconic Beurs van Belage, former stock exchange building and a display of remarkable modern Dutch architecture. Now a historic landmark and must-see for tourists, the venue also hosts a diverse array of conferences and exhibitions as a hub of discussion to celebrate the sharing of ideas. This unique place set an inspirational stage for a landmark event in the European agriculture calendar.
The Summit is ‘filled with insights, critical thinking, optimism, and vital discussions needed to transform our food system‘. The event saw speakers on topics including Agroforestry and scaling challenges.
This years’ Innovation Showcase winner received a custom trophy as recognition of their vision of the future. The Showcase invites innovative startups to present, giving them the chance to share their unique and interesting technologies to investors and strategic partners.
Bespoke Award Design
For this bespoke award, the client provided an image of their chosen design. They highlighted several features that were important and needed to be included:
- Brand Colours
- Environmentally conscious design
- Incorporation of the logo
- A large wooden base

What makes a sustainable trophy?
Is a sustainable trophy the same as an eco-friendly award?
At Gaudio, we explore sustainable options as they become available. That means we look at how we can make our manufacturing processes more eco-friendly, our office more energy efficient and the material we use less impactful on the environment.
For eco-conscious trophies, we currently offer a range of materials with a lesser environmental impact than other standard material options on the market, whether that’s from our suppliers environmental promises, or the manufacturing methods used to create the material.
Our top three sustainability-forward materials include:
- Aluminium – The International Aluminium Institute estimates that ‘almost 75% of he 1.5 billion tonnes of Aluminium ever produced is still in use today’, thanks to aluminiums’ ability to be recycled multiple times without any loss of quality
- Wood – We endeavour to source wood from suppliers that prioritise the conservation of resources and waste minimisation
- Recycled Acrylic – 100% recycled acrylic is available in a range of vibrant and exciting colours, or as clear sheets perfect for printing
The Final Piece: A Custom Sustianable Award
The final custom trophy boasts a bright and on-brand print with all the environmentally conscious considerations outlined in the brief.
A recycled acrylic piece is laser-cut to make up the body of the award, profiled around the logo and colour-matched UV print gives a hard-wearing display of colour. Colour-matching print means each trophy is cohesive with the brand, both online and in the event space.
It sits on a chunky wooden base. Natural tones in the light oak finish pair brilliantly with the unique swirls and twists of visible wood grain to give the piece an organic feel. The interesting angled design offers a high-quality finish and feel, while still allowing plenty of space for more print to match the logo.
The result is a beautiful custom sustainable trophy. The award combines colours and textures with a suitably modern design, for a piece that recipients can be proud to display as a reminder of their achievements.
