The British Swimming Awards returned for a night of celebration earlier this month. Athletes from every corner were nominated across 15 categories, including the highly coveted British Swimming Athlete of the Year.
For a dazzling evening with a ‘Roaring 20’s’ theme, these custom awards saw Art Deco meet contemporary design.
MAKING WAVES WITH ART DECO
The event itself showcased a classic black and gold colour scheme, featured across invites, social media, and the venue. Our design team are well versed in utilising existing brand guidelines alongside event branding to create awards that embrace the theme without compromising on design.
Originally born from flourishing modern design in architecture, art and industry, Art Deco represented the glamorous face of progress. For the British Swimming Awards, embracing the ‘Roaring 20’s’ theme meant making use of bold geometric shapes and classic exquisite patterns.
Layered acrylic is a key feature on these custom awards. Multiple layers of black and gold acrylic form the modern shape and angular Art Deco design. Paired with stylised print and completely freestanding, each trophy is personalised with the category and the winners name.
Alice Tai had lots to celebrate, taking home Named Para-Swimming Athlete of the Year 2019 and British Swimming Athlete of the Year.
