Charity Awards

The Charity Awards is run by Civil Society Media, and takes place annually to reward organisations carrying out exceptional work in all areas of charitable activity. Now in its eighteenth year, the Charity Awards celebrates best practice across the charitable sector. Civil Society Media recently won an award themselves at the inaugural Awards Awards event, which took place in May. The organisation won first prize in the category, ‘Best Judging Panel & Process for an Awards’, which exemplifies the rigour with which their award winners are selected.

A panel of voluntary sector experts judged twelve categories against ten ‘Hallmarks of Excellence’, which are traits or attributes that should be present in any successful project. The categories included (amongst others), ‘Environment & Conservation,’ ‘Children & Youth,’ ‘Social Care, Advice and Support,’ as well as an award for ‘Outstanding Achievement’ and one ‘Overall Winner.’

Gaudio particularly likes producing awards for noble causes, and the Charity Awards were no different. We especially enjoyed designing these as their logo and branding were so strong, and they had a very clear brief of the type of award they wanted. The award is made of a landscape-aligned rectangular aluminium tablet, which is polished and engraved. A hexagonal shape, which has been used extensively across their branding, was cut into the tablet using our CNC machine. This was inset with gold metallic acrylic, printed with the Charity Awards’ crown logo. The awards looked really sleek and stylish, with the crown logo giving the awards a prestigious look, consistent with the event’s position as the leading awards programme for charitable organisations.
